Concussion Awareness Training
Michigan law requires that all youth coaches, employees, and volunteers complete HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training. Once complete, you must retain record of the completion of the course or repeat the course. The training is good for three years.
Wrestlers and parents must sign the Parent and Athlete Concussion Information Sheet.
If a wrestler is suspected of having a concussion they must be removed from competition. They cannot return until they return a medical clearance form. All documents can be found in the Documents section of this website.
Anyone who will be matside at a tournament must have a USA Wrestling Leader Membership which requires SafeSport training and a background check. One coach with a USA Wrestling Leadership must be at practice at all times.
